Book Report and a Lovely Tea Party

We've been having wonderful conversations lately. Thanks to Richard Scary word books and a great imagination. Today, Butters called the rain flowing down the street a 'street river.' He's been reading The Best Word Book Ever and Things That Go by RS over and over. Every page is filled with something to talk about and look for-pickle cars, L worm, gold bug.

I finished a few books lately as well. Midshipman Hornblower and Confessions of an Ugly Stepsister (by the same guy who wrote Wicked). Both were good, but when my sister asked me what I was reading, "A midshipman in the British navy." She couldn't believe it, I picked it up from Father In Law.

Today we are having a tea party with peanut butter banana muffins, Elvis would have loved them! He just put his napkin on his chest, "Put it on my chest like Grandma do." My mom calls it her hillbilly napkin!

Yesterday it was gorgeous blue skies and we saw 8 bald eagles above our house. Today, it's rainy and grey and sad because we are all alone.

Did Butters line up the tea party stuff? That's something I would do. Love his hands...so expressive.

And baby girl's face is so sweet.

You should definitely check out this flickr overview of changes in Richard Scarry's The Best Word Book Ever. It's been made a lot more PC.
